[When the video turns on, Konatsu looks irritated, annoyed, frustrated. He's concluded that this isn't a dream and that he's not just hallucinating. He's discovered that his weapon has been replaced by a far inferior one. And he's tried and long since given up on trying to remember a worse day of his life.]

[So instead he turns to his communicator. Perhaps he'll be able to find answers this way.]

Colonel Adams mentioned a headquarters that supposedly brought us to this town. Is there a means of contacting them?

E-eh? Konatsu, is that you?

[ Shuri'd been so nicely escorted to the town of Orsa by some very intimidating and freakishly normal looking people. ]

[Really? Konatsu arrives in this awful wasteland and Oak is the first person that gets in touch with him?]

[He considers not answering, or lying, but only briefly. He thinks he'll need allies and... well... any port in a storm.]

Yeah, Oak, it's me.

[ hmmm.

shuri doesn't really make a move to go find him. ]

What town are you in?

[begleiter]

The people that greeted me called it Orsa.

[antwort]

Oh!

[ Sitting up now. ] That's where I am!

[begleiter]

I thought you must be, unless there are other ways of entering this world. [Things look pretty rough from what Konatsu has seen, and that's just basing it on what's within the town's walls. He can't imagine Shuri leaving the closest visible thing to safety.]

[But there are more important things to worry about than Shuri. Konatsu sounds faintly anxious when he speaks again.] Have you seen the Major?

[antwort]

No.

[ Throwing his legs over the bed and standing, looking out the window. ] I haven't seen anyone.

[begleiter]

[Konatsu, on the other hand, is still outside, near the well. He's in the middle of trying to scope the city out, but he's not finding much of interest.] If you meet with any of them, you should tell me immediately.

[...] And if you see Colonel Katsuragi, inform me before speaking with him.

[antwort]

Eh? [ frown....... ] Okay. I'll do that.

[begleiter]

Good. [In the meantime... Konatsu would happily distance himself from Shuri in any other situation, but isolating himself isn't a good idea.] Where are you?

[antwort]

In my apartment. [ It's.

Really small. Ah. Hm... ] If you ask they'll tell you.

[begleiter]

They gave one to me, as well. [His is also small, but he's more concerned about that fact that its door is barely staying on its hinges.] Are all of the apartments in one area?

[antwort]

How should I know? [ yes. ]

[begleiter]

You haven't tried to learn about the city at all? [Not... that Konatsu sounds terribly surprised.]

[antwort]

All I know is that something bad happened and nobody wanted to talk about it! So I came here.

[begleiter]

[Konatsu sighs -- just a little. What did he do to deserve this...?] And you just gave up?

[antwort]

I didn't want to ask about it. [ Huff. ] And they didn't either.

[begleiter]

There are other ways of finding information.

[antwort]

I don't want to be criticized right now!

[begleiter]

You'll never improve if you aren't aware of your flaws.

Not so far.

[ he's tried tinkering with the Pip-Boy, trying different channels, to no avail. there's a slight edge to his voice, but not much of one. ]

Doesn't really come as a surprise that the higher-ups would make themselves as unavailable as possible.

[begleiter]

No, it doesn't. I doubt they'd receive a warm welcome from those they dragged here.

[electroburst]

Probably why they're in hiding. Can't take the heat.

[ a long, slow exhale. ]

[begleiter]

Why bring us here at all, if they weren't intending to work with us? [Konatsu had gathered that they were supposed to work with the locals, but Colonel Adams hadn't sounded like he heard much from HQ himself.]
